These beautiful red and blue centipedes come from drier areas of the Atherton tablelands in FNQ. While they may me a bit smaller than other Scolopendra morsitans colour forms, they make up for it in their beautiful colouration and relatively calm temperament.

These centipedes grow up to 100mm in body length and should be housed in a container with coco-peat that is only very, very slightly moist. Too moist substrate will cause them to get fungal infections and they will desiccate if the substrate is too dry, these are more suited for experienced keepers.
