Description
Cataxia are generally small trapdoor spiders (~25mm) with very prominent spiny front legs. This species is timid and hardy and make good starter trapdoor spiders. Most Cataxia make thin, flap-like lids to their burrows. While some larger species can be very defensive, this species mainly plays dead and is unlikely to attack. They will require a fairly heavy, dense clay substrate to create a proper burrow. This species is found around Mount Cootha, SEQ.
