Strawberry Trapdoor Spider (Cataxia babindaensis) juvenile

(1 customer review)

$65.00

Out of stock

Description

A very large, very fast, very rare species of Spiny Trapdoor (Cataxia) found in the rainforests of FNQ. They build thin lids on embankments adorned with bits of debris for camouflage. They have a stunning deep red carapace and legs and a banded abdomen. This species is a giant in comparison to other Cataxia, reaching body lengths of 45mm. We suggest using a dense clay as substrate, mimicking the rainforest clay of their natural habitat.
