Description

Golden trapdoors are a predominantly eastern genus, with most species found in southern Queensland and NSW. This species is from NSW.

They build deep burrows with thick lids in clay soil, often along embankments and often the lids are adorned with moss for camouflage.

Euoplos are infamous for their bad temperament but in our opinion nothing comes close to the attitude of an Aname sp., or even worse, a Black-Headed Huntsman (Isopeda woodwardi)  😮

These spiders are around 35-40mm in length.

Optional kit includes:

  • Spy-cylinder
  • Clay based substrate for burrowng
