Striped House-Hopper (Maratus scutalatum) Captive Bred Sub-adult/Adult male

Very pretty striped maratus

In stock

Description

This medium sized jumper is in the same genus as the Peacock spiders, however the male is not colourful and does not dance. Females are still pretty jumpers in their own right, with a light coloured abdomen, dark head and dark stripes on the abdomen.

This species grows to 10mm long.

Care Tips:

This jumper (if adult) should be fed x-small crickets – no bigger than the spider’s body size.

Enclosure should have lots of things to explore like bark hides and fake plants, as these jumpers are quite active.  We recommend the Mini Bug Box with jumper kit.
