Description

This is a rather variable species found from Adelaide west to Perth (through the Nullarbor plain) and north to about Geraldton. Some individuals have a lighter abdomen with dark striations. A medium-sized species, they grow to 35mm in length and 120mm in legspan. This species also varies temperament wise, some individuals are slow, calm and easily handled, while others, like the one pictured are insane, running around constantly when disturbed. All huntsmans are nocturnal, but this species seems to only eat at night, though most if not all others will eat in the day. Most huntsmans are hardy in captivity.
