Description
This is South Australia’s largest huntsman. growing to 45mm in body length and 135mm in legspan, this species is very robust. Adult females’ abdomens are often about 3 times larger than the cephalothorax and females are often very defensive, unusual for huntsman. Juveniles have a slightly more mottled pattern and are more brown than they are grey. This species is found around Adelaide but is rather uncommon.
