Description
This genus is very rare and almost unheard of in the hobby. This particular species is completely new.
Reddyanus is a small, lesser known genus of scorpions with about 5-10 species found across northern australia. These species are mostly small, often brightly coloured and found in savannah habitats often rather high up on trees. This genus includes the more well known ‘orange tree scorpions’ which this species is very similar to. This particular species comes from southern cape york and is on the smaller side even for australian Buthids.
We advise that Reddyanus are particuarly finnicky scorpions and aren’t suitable for beginners. They are prone to death from too moist or too dry condiitons.
