Lychas species from Northern East Australia!
Out of stock
Description
Lychas variatus is a species of Buthid thicktail scorpion found in northern Nsw and Queensland, inhabiting more moist areas than it’s relative, Lychas marmoreus. They are a more vibrant, darker colour and play dead less often, they, like most Lychas spp, can be kept communally.
They grow up to 30mm and show the same sexual characteristics of marmoreus, like the slightly longer tail and pectines of males.
Juveniles can be a bit more territorial and resource competitive than adults so will need more space per scorpion and more hides if kept communally
Sold as unsexed CB juvies
