We love bugs and want to encourage that love in others, to educate and ensure that these wonderful creatures will be here for generations to come. Why keep insects as pets?
“Why would anyone keep insects or even pet spiders?” you might ask. Personally I love the beautiful, strange shape of insects, their colours, diversity, unusual behaviour and interesting life cycle. And luckily, many other people all over the world discover the fun in keeping insects as pets!
Invertebrates such as praying mantids and stick insects are fascinating and quite practical pets. They come in beautiful shapes and colours. It is fascinating to see the animals hunt, grow, molt, lay eggs and see their methods of camouflage and defenses.
An additional practical advantage, is their modest requirements for housing, care and food. Compared to common pets like cats, dogs, rodents and birds they require less time and space. They are also harmless, allergy-free and their food is less expensive than the food of most commons pets. All this makes them an increasingly popular group of animals to keep as pets, for young and old people alike!

January 6, 2022 A bit small but it is great size for a little spider/baby spider. Bought it with my baby wolf spider and he is loving it. I would however recommend buying extra substrate (~500g) from these guys to have a good amount of substrate and to have extra just in case. Otherwise it is so cute and I love it. Very easy to observe the spider with it and I like the latch 🙂

September 12, 2022 - Came in good condition and well packaged as always. The pedeling is missing a terminal leg, however, with the next moult it will grow back so no biggie. I’ve had it for two days now and it hasn’t eaten, perhaps indicating it’s in a pre-moult. It appears to be a heavy burrowing species and it stays hidden away most of the day.. yet to see it at night when it is primarily active

He is very lively and tame, enjoys exploring (although he loves sneaking into the gaps of the seals).
Such a big personality in such a tiny jumper!
I also ordered the Jumperanium 2.0 kit, which comes with everything that you need. I have 2 at the moment, and love how the accessories are also a little different from each other, so each enclosure has their own vibe.

Everything was packed perfectly, and even a gel pack was included in the packaging to make sure he arrived safely.
He is quick, but also very tame, and is not afraid to jump on and spend some time with you.
Nothing is better than watching him wave his little legs around while exploring!
