Description
The little tarantula is a species of prowling spider found across most of semi arid and mesic Australia, being more common in eastern states. While not a true tarantula (Theraphosidae) or even in the same infra-order, it is still a large and impressive spider nonetheless.
This species reaches around 50mm in legspan. M. tarantulinus are extremely, extremely fast and can climb smooth glass and plastic very easily, be careful when opening the enclosure as they can be prone to escape.

Definitely an agile and fast spider, it could not wait to exit the container. Very pretty and interesting to watch as it can make use of the entire surface area of it’s house.
