Net-casting spiders are unique among spiders for their fascinating hunting strategy, utilising a sticky “net” of web and hanging on vegetation. When prey passes beneath them, they drop the net over there prey which entangles them. These spiders are very timid and will often play dead when disturbed, or may clumsily attempt to run away. These spiders should be provided with a fake plant in order to construct their net.
