Description

Arbanitis is an eastern genus of trapdoor spiders, and are extremely behaviourally diverse, with some species having trapdoors, open burrows, tube entrances and palisades.

They are very common in NSW and QLD. This species is from the Mount Lofty ranges in SA and grows to 25mm in body length. The occurrence here is remarkable due to them being nearly absent from Victoria and the only species in SA.
