Description

*The picture displayed is of an adult male – the females are larger and dark brown.  She may be gravid.

This is a jumper usually found on tree trunks in FNQ and as far south as NSW. In the wild they primarily eat ants but in captivity take crickets just fine. They are very inquisitive and agile.

They grow up to 8mm in length and have unusually sclerotised (hardened) abdomens.

Care Tips:

This jumper (if adult) should be fed x-small crickets – no bigger than the spider’s body size.

Enclosure should have lots of things to explore like bark hides and fake plants, as these jumpers are quite active.

We recommend the Little bug box, The Original Bug Box  or Bug box 2.0 with jumper kit
