Bug Frenzy is a family business based in South Australia. All our invertebrates are either captive bred, or sustainably and ethically sourced. We love bugs and want to encourage that love in others, to educate and ensure that these wonderful creatures will be here for generations to come. Why keep insects as pets?
“Why would anyone keep insects or even pet spiders?” you might ask. Personally I love the beautiful, strange shape of insects, their colours, diversity, unusual behaviour and interesting life cycle. And luckily, many other people all over the world discover the fun in keeping insects as pets!
Invertebrates such as praying mantids and stick insects are fascinating and quite practical pets. They come in beautiful shapes and colours. It is fascinating to see the animals hunt, grow, molt, lay eggs and see their methods of camouflage and defenses.
An additional practical advantage, is their modest requirements for housing, care and food. Compared to common pets like cats, dogs, rodents and birds they require less time and space. They are also harmless, allergy-free and their food is less expensive than the food of most commons pets. All this makes them an increasingly popular group of animals to keep as pets, for young and old people alike!

This is the only Jumper I've had that is happier on my hand than in its enclosure and very funny, it randomly jumps strait up in the air and then calmly looks around like "what happened" SO FUNNY 🙂
BUT at the same time she easily takes down crickets bigger than she is, WOW!
You want a happy to be handled and very entertaining jumping spider this is a GREAT option.

November 8, 2021 Came well packaged with plenty of sphagnum moss to protect the spider and a cool pack to help with the heat during travel. I got a male that's healthy and very curious. He even spent a little time watching me back before continuing to explore his enclosure and having a cricket sized snack.
10/10 will be buying more wolf spiders from here to fuel my obsession!

April 10, 2022 This is my first time to have these spiny leaf insects, I ordered male and female. They arrived in 3 days using express post, kind of worried but they survived. I thought they are all females because the orange one looks like female, sent email to bugfrenzy and got the answer. No it's male actually. Communication was good! Will buy from bugfrenzy again.
It's been 6 days, the insects are happy and healthy in their new home.

I have enough room to deck it out for her & it’s honestly all the room she needs! She’s made a silk home inside & seems to really like her little set up.
