Ā Why keep insects as pets?
āWhy would anyone keep insects or even pet spiders?ā you might ask. Personally I love the beautiful, strange shape of insects, their colours, diversity, unusual behaviour and interesting life cycle. And luckily, many other people all over the world discover the fun in keeping insects as pets!
Invertebrates such as praying mantids and stick insects are fascinating and quite practical pets. They come in beautiful shapes and colours. It is fascinating to see the animals hunt, grow, molt, lay eggs and see their methods of camouflage and defenses.
An additional practical advantage, is their modest requirements for housing, care and food. Compared to common pets like cats, dogs, rodents and birds they require less time and space. They are also harmless, allergy-free and their food is less expensive than the food of most commons pets. All this makes them an increasingly popular group of animals to keep as pets, for young and old people alike!

October 30, 2022 My little Peanut arrived fast and safe ā he was very inquisitive and almost immediately started building his web in the top of the enclosure. He didn't eat for a couple weeks probably due to the stress of moving and maybe old age but he seems to be doing fine now after gobbling up 4 crickets yesterday.

November 1, 2021 - I've got quite a few of these little enclosures at this point and I'm happy with every single one I've received. They're big enough to allow my tarantula slings to explore and the way the bottom is designed seems to encourage my burrowers to run their tunnels around the edge instead of disappearing into the middle. Visibility is great too, if you like to really see what your little spider is up to these are a good investment.

June 20, 2022 Thank you Bug Frenzy team for the diligent way of wrapping everything for delivery and most importantly the safety of little āPrincessā. I highly recommend anyone wanting a jumping spider (or anything else) from this business, as they are great to deal with and, are helpful should you have any queries. I have found (as an adult) fascinating to watch my little āfriendā, and these are an inexpensive pet to keep after the initial small outlay. The would help teach children responsibility, as well as an appreciation regarding the food chain/web of life, nature as well as life cycles. I wish Bug Frenzy had existed when my children were children!
Jumping spiders arenāt scary like other larger spiders can be to some, as they are fairly small; they have loads of character; and, besides tiny crickets, they can eat flies & mosquitoes - bonus!!

July 22, 2021 Perfect size for even larger centipedes but it does come a little shallow on substrate which is perfectly fine for centipedes who don't burrow much like my scolopendra morsitans who like to hang on top a lot but is a bit of a problem for my ethmostigmus rubripes who likes to spend a lot of time under the substrate so in such cases I can recommend picking up a little extra substrate with it
